City Deventer
Deventer is one of the oldest towns in the Netherlands. A Hanseatic town in heart and soul. The rich history is well visible in the beautiful town centre and the more than 500 monuments. Pay a visit to Museum the Waag, located in one of the oldest weighing houses in the Netherlands. You can take a look at the oldest treasures of the town within the thick walls of this monument. Archaeological finds are positioned next to silverware and pieces of industrial history.

Gastronomy
The first food hall in the eastern part in the Netherlands. In the monumental Zwarte Silo (Black Silo) located in the Havenkwartier, you will be treated to all kinds of delicacies in an informal atmosphere. You can take a seat in the middle of the room, at one of the convivial tables, while choosing from the numerous unique food stands surrounding you.

At town brewery DAVO you will learn about the different beers that Deventer is known for. As soon as you enter this industrial building, you sense that everything inside in focused on the golden brew. Zestful brewers will demonstrate how the beer is made and afterwards you can decide which is your own favourite in the tasting room.
