In the dolmen centre in Borger, situated next to the largest dolmen in the Netherlands, the life of the dolmen builders is depicted in a surprising fashion. We would like to invite you to the dolmen centre to experience this expedition to the life of 5,000 years ago. After this journey you will have better understanding of Drenthe and be even more enthusiastic to travel through our remarkable province.
Hondsrug area and Prehistory park
At the dolmen centre you will not only experience the story of the dolmen builders, but also the story of the historic origin of the Hondsrug area. In the gate of the Hondsrug UNESCO Geopark you can experience the story of 150,000 years of history of the Hondsdrug area, you can hike in the largest boulder garden in the Netherlands and in the Prehistory park you experience a prehistoric journey outdoors.
